If this wasn't a computer screen, I'd put out my hand to shake yours! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. This is my humble home to share with you my projects, recipes, photos, crafts, and anything in between that qualifies as quirky, cute, or comical.

There. That was the small-talk introduction. Here's the nitty gritty:

I'm Candace. I live in Orlando, FL with my sweet husband and two cats. I'm an actor, teacher, singer, songwriter, and- hey, let's add blogger to the list. I love organization, I detest monotony, and I'm really into smiling. Smiling's my favorite. 

"What's this whole Hopscotchy thing about?" I'm so glad you asked. 

HOPSCOTCHY is a word coined by the one and only Roald Dahl. (You remember? He wrote those there Charlie and the Chocolate Factory books and Matilda and James and the Giant Peach and the BFG and anything else with idiosyncratic words and heartfelt, albeit somewhat dark and alarming stories that sound so British and amusing to me that I can't contain myself).

HOPSCOTCHY according to the dear Dahl means, "cheerful." Hopscotch according to us hopscotch-ers of the world is a lovely little chalkboard-scribbled childhood game of compartmentalized boxes.

This just so happens to embody what I love in life: happy, homemade, organized, young-spirited frivolity.
